HAnime - Ai Anime Explorer

Introduction

HAnime - Ai Anime Explorer (“HAnime”, “we”, or “the app”) helps you discover anime, explore details, save titles to personal lists, and get recommendations from the AI Mood Quiz. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the app and the choices you have.

What we store on your device

HAnime keeps a small amount of data locally on your device so the app works smoothly. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:

• Your display name, if you enter one during onboarding.
• Your saved anime library and list preferences (on-device storage).
• Onboarding and UI state needed for the app to function.

We do not operate HAnime user accounts for this data. Uninstalling the app removes this local information from your device.

What we do not collect

HAnime does not require you to create an account. We do not ask for or collect your email, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location through the app itself. We do not sell your personal information.

Network & third-party services

To show anime information, posters, and metadata, the app contacts the Jikan API (community MyAnimeList data). When you open trailers, the app may load YouTube embeds or open links in your browser. These services receive standard network information (such as IP address) under their own policies when your device requests content.

The AI Mood Quiz sends your selected preferences to request anime recommendations from the same API layer. We do not use a separate cloud profile for quiz answers beyond what is needed for that request.

Advertising — Google AdMob

HAnime is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may process technical data needed to deliver and measure ads, such as device identifiers, IP address, coarse region, and ad interaction events.

On iOS, where required, the app may show Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt and Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) for consent to personalized or non-personalized ads in regions such as the EEA, UK, or California.

App Store ratings

If you choose to rate the app, iOS may show Apple’s standard in-app review dialog. That flow is controlled by Apple; we do not receive your Apple ID or review text directly.

Your controls

You can edit your display name anytime in Settings, manage My Lists, adjust ad-related choices when prompts appear, and uninstall the app to remove all local HAnime data from your device.

Children

HAnime is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). Where applicable, ad and consent flows are configured to respect age-appropriate and legal requirements.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices or features change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change accordingly. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
